Welcome to the online site. The below posts are musings that informed the final exegesis that accompanied the a/v works for the Master's degree.
This is the online outline of a Masters in Musical Arts, completed via Victoria University of Wellington, awarded in 2020. The exegesis centres on the concept of the "sound phantom", a speculative 'aural spirit' or 'sonic self' harboured by every object. Realisable through the agency of a composer, the sound phantom of a tree can be explored throughout the following a/v pieces. Please connect speakers or headphones.
